"…but because You say so…"

::: HIS WILL ::: NOT YOURS ::: NOT MINE :::

Key Verse::: ‘…but because You say so…’ – Luke 5:5

I urge you to always say these words of #prayer in every aspect of your life daily: ‘Father, let Your will be done in my life…’

Beware! It’s His will not yours… So be ready for it… Be ready to obey… But don’t be scared… It may not be pleasant in your sight but it’s actually the most pleasant thing for you.

>> To the Bible <<
Let’s see an example of the benefit & power of obedience and submission to His will…

Luke 5:1-11 (NIV)

1. One day as Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret, the people were crowding around him and listening to the word of God.

2. He saw at the water’s edge two boats, left there by the fishermen, who were washing their nets.

3. He got into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to put out a little from shore. Then he sat down and taught the people from the boat.

4. When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon,“Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.”

5. Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.”

[Remember, the fishermen were already hopeless… They were already washing their nets getting ready to leave before they (Simon Peter in particular) encountered Christ. In verse 5, Simon did something, he submitted his will to the Lord and followed and obeyed the Lord’s will and instruction. Simon said, ‘…because You (Jesus) said so…’ That is surrendering to His will because left to Simon and the other fishermen, their minds and hearts were already on how to get home and share the news of a fruitless toil all through the night…]

6. When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break.

7. So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.

* * * * *
[‘…because You said so…’ and because he (Simon) & his crew obeyed, their increase was so large that they had to call other hopeless (and probably sad-hearted) fishermen to come and help and partake in their increase. So if you surrender to His will, people will partake in your increase because it will so large that you alone may not be able to contain…]

8. When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees and said, “Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!”

* * * * *
[lol… Did I just laugh? Yes, I did… Just #Emagine… He got an increase to the extent he remembered that he was a sinful man. Thank God for this era of #grace we live in today and for His love and mercies… If you are still dwelling in sin, I don’t leave you with any other option, repent from those sins and give your all to Him… Pray like this: Lord Jesus, I accept that I am a sinner, I confess my sins to You today; Lord have mercy upon me, cleanse me and make me whole… I confess you as my Lord and Saviour in Jesus name. Amen.]

9. For he and all his companions were astonished at the catch of fish they had taken,

10. and so were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, Simon’s partners. Then Jesus said to Simon,“Don’t be afraid; from now on you will fish for people.”

11. So they pulled their boats up on shore, left everything and followed him.

[Glory to God! Submit to His will and all your great wishes will become little in your own sight… Then you will notice there’s more for you than what you’ve always wished for…. Even Simon and his partners had to leave their life (of fishing fishes) to follow Christ and fish people for the Kingdom of Heaven… And they happen to become the first disciples of Christ.]

If you said the prayer of reconciliation, I advise you to look for a Bible-believing Church and fellowship with them.
