Topic: Mix The Word You Hear With Faith

Text: Hebrews 4:2

“…but the message they heard was of no value to them, because those who heard did not combine it with faith.” – Hebrews 4:2

Let the word of God be profitable to you. A proof of your faith is in your action. What is it that makes the Word of God profitable to you? It is the mixing of faith with the the Word you hear. It is not just hearing the Word of God, but your understanding it, applying it to yourself and acting on it. Until you act on what you have heard, the Word of God cannot be profitable to you.

The Word of God must be mixed with faith and faith is the substance of things hope for, the evidence of things not seen. When you say you have faith, you are saying you have a confident assurance that the Word of God will be made manifest in your life and that what you are hoping for is waiting for you even though you cannot see it. In 2 Corinthians 5:7, it is written, “We live by faith, not by sight.”

When you have a problem, concentrate on what the Word of God says and not on your problem. As long as you are focusing on what the Word says and you are believing it, the Word will work for you for God will defend His Word.
