IS YOUR ANGER JUSTIFIED?
“In your anger do no sin. Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry.” – Ephesians 4:26
In James 1:20, it is written, “for man’s anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires.” When angry, we do not do good as God expects us to. In Ephesians 4:26-27, it is written, “In your anger do no sin. Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.” In your anger do not allow the devil to manifest.
In Job 18:4 (Parents Resource Living Bible), it is written, “Just because you tear your clothes in anger, is this going to start an earthquake? Shall we all go and hide?” Some people get so erratic when angry that they destroy anything on their path. Some will justify their anger by saying that our Lord Jesus was angry with those selling in the temple.
Our Lord manifested righteous anger because the house of God had been turned into a market place and a den of thieves. Does your anger glorify God or is it self centered and destructive? You can get angry but you are not permitted to sin in your anger.
Pray about this.
