Facebook or Faithbook?

The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.” (Psalm 19:7)

A study on Facebook carried out at the University of Michigan was published in the second half of 2013. It revealed that using Facebook can reduce young adults’ sense of well-being and satisfaction with life. The researchers said, “On the surface, Facebook provides an invaluable resource for fulfilling basic human need for social connection. Rather than enhancing wellbeing, however, these findings suggest that Facebook may undermine it.” The results seemed to show that the more people used Facebook, the worse they felt afterwards. Are you a social network addict? There is a wise thing you can do if you want enduring satisfaction. Switch from Facebook to the Faith-book, the Bible. “Faith cometh by hearing…the word of God.” The Bible, the word of God, is a real tonic to faith. It is one book that guarantees you freedom from depression, low self-esteem and lack of satisfaction with life. Daily intake of a healthy dose of the word of God will benefit your soul than all the materials on Facebook or any other social network site. Have you read your Bible today?
